The grapple saw truck is one of the most important pieces of equipment in our operation, and we need a skilled driver who takes pride in running it right. Our truck is lighter and more nimble than the heavy units most of our competitors run, which means it gets onto properties – and into tight spots – that other trucks can't.

As our Grapple Truck Driver, you'll transport equipment between job sites, operate the grapple saw on removal jobs, and work closely with the ground crew and climber to keep operations moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the grapple saw truck during tree removal and storm cleanup jobs, working in coordination with the crew lead, climber(s), and ground crew
• Transport the truck, chipper, and other equipment to and from job sites in compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections; identify and report mechanical issues, wear, or damage
• Assess job site conditions, overhead clearances, and load weights before each operation
• Set up and stabilize the truck correctly on varied surfaces, including residential driveways and lawns
• Communicate clearly with the crew via radio and hand signals throughout each lift
• Adhere to all OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards
• Maintain accurate operation and maintenance records
• Keep the truck clean, organized, and ready for the next job

Requirements:

• Valid CDL – Class A preferred, Class B accepted
• Clean driving record
• Experience operating commercial trucks or heavy equipment (tree care, construction, or related industry preferred)
• Strong mechanical awareness and attention to safety
• Calm decision-making under pressure
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
• Reliable transportation to our Old Hickory location

Not Required, but a Plus:

• Prior experience in tree care, land clearing, or utility work
• Experience operating grapple saw equipment specifically
• ISA Certified Arborist credential
• Familiarity with ANSI Z133 safety standards for arboricultural operations

This is the role we're most excited to fill. A skilled climber is the heart of any quality tree service, and we're prepared to compensate accordingly for the right person. As our Climber, you'll handle the aerial work on pruning, removal, cabling, and storm damage jobs – often on large or complex residential properties across the east side of Nashville. You'll work closely with the grapple truck operator, ground crew, and crane operator on the toughest removals we take on.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all climbing and aerial lift work on tree pruning, removal, cabling, and bracing operations
• Use rigging systems safely and efficiently to lower limbs and sections on complex removals
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, and other handheld equipment from height
• Assess each tree before climbing for structural integrity, hazards, and the best work plan
• Coordinate with the ground crew, grapple truck operator, and crane operator throughout each job
• Follow all ANSI Z133, ANSI A300, OSHA, and company safety standards
• Maintain climbing gear, ropes, saddles, and saws in safe working condition
• Represent Tree Solutions professionally on every job site

Requirements:

• Demonstrated climbing proficiency and aerial tree work experience preferred (we'll train the right person with related experience and the right attitude)
• Working knowledge of rigging principles
• Strong working knowledge of ANSI Z133 safety standards
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
• Physical fitness and comfort with heights
• Reliable transportation to our Old Hickory location

Not Required, but a Plus:

• ISA Certified Arborist credential
• ISA Certified Tree Worker / Climber Specialist credential
• Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP)
• CDL Class A or B
• Crane rigging or grapple saw experience

• Support climbing and aerial crews with ground-level work during tree pruning, removal, and storm cleanup
• Operate handheld equipment including chainsaws, pole saws, and hand tools safely and effectively
• Feed brush into the chipper and manage debris cleanup at job sites
• Move and load logs, brush, and debris for hauling or processing into firewood
• Set up and maintain a safe work zone on residential and commercial properties
• Operate and maintain ground equipment such as chippers, stump grinders, and blowers (as trained)
• Follow all ANSI Z133 safety standards, company policies, and crew leader instructions
• Communicate clearly with crew members and represent Tree Solutions professionally in front of clients

Requirements:
